Meet Nora!

Thank you for stopping by to check out Odessa Artistry! Even though the company is new, I am not! I've been in the bridal industry for over ten years now and have worked hair magic for hundreds of weddings! I am considered a combo artist meaning that I do both hair and makeup but Hair will always be my number one and main passion.

So how did I get here?

Growing up I was always the tom boy type- hunting, fishing, atv's, snowmobiles, racecars, mudding.... I was always big into sports, being active in both soccer and football. I spent a lot of my time up north with my grandfather, enjoying everything northern WI had to offer. If I wasn't fishing out on the lake or exploring in the woods, I was planting flowers or zooming around on four-wheelers. Even though I came from a family of women in the beauty industry, (My mom was also a cosmetologist) You'd catch me covered in mud before you caught me with makeup!

My love for beauty and hair started shortly after having my daughter. At the time I was in college for my BA in Psychology, but I ended up deciding that I wanted to attend beauty school instead. My artistry really came to light after competing and placing first in numerous salon fairs. One of my favorite entries was a recreate of Sandy from Grease where my model's hair was down past her waist. Several bobby pins, a solid hold hairspray, and my creative eye-I successfully transformed her hair into something magical (pictured below). I graduated beauty school top of my rotation, with high recommendations, and began my career in a salon while working weddings on the weekends. I learned that salon life was just not for me and that I needed to be more involved in the bridal community so I could elevate my impact on empowering women to feel at their absolute best. I ended up joining a well-known bridal company for several years until I decided to go out on my own.

Outside of the bridal magic, I am a mom of two amazing kids that make my world go round-Melia and Emmett. Melia is currently in high school with a love for volleyball, the FFA, and aspiring to be a Lawyer. She dipped into the modeling world for a few years and was internationally published for a horror shoot, in which I was able to help style. She is incredibly smart, talented, and wise beyond her years with an old soul. Emmett is in 2nd grade with a love for basketball, soccer, reading, and wants to join the NBA when he gets older. He loves to do typical boy things such as tricks on his bike/scooter, pretending he knows how to parkour, shoot hoops, and of course, Fortnite. He is nothing shy of being my feisty little Scorpio and is definitely my mini me of personality.  We love family game/movie nights, sporting events especially Bucks games, taking our rescue pup Bandit out on walks or to the dog park, cooking together, and just being our goofy selves.

I'm excited to be on this adventure and continue to keep doing what I love. Being a bridal/special event stylist brings an unexplainable feeling of joy and happiness to my life. I can't describe the feeling I get when a bride sees her perfect vision come to life- it is truly a magical experience to take part in the day that means so much to someone. I believe that everyone deserves to feel beautiful, confident, and nothing short of perfection on their special day. I am passionate about creating that experience while delivering that flawless, unique, and personalized look to every beauty I am privileged to work with. I can't forget the relationships and friendships as well! I keep in touch with several of my brides to this day and get to see all the amazing things that unfold in their lives after their wedding day!
